Deaf Awareness Workshops

Why become Deaf aware?

How does it work?

Communication is such a vital part of interaction, but what happens when you meet a person who is Deaf or has hearing loss? Would you be able to communicate with them?

In the UK, one in six people have some degree of hearing loss ranging from profound deafness to hard of hearing. That's roughly about 11 million people affected who all face communication barriers. Not being able to communicate equally and easily can lead to feelings of loneliness and frustration. We believe that it is so important to not only be Deaf Aware but also Deaf Confident.

Our Deaf Awareness workshops have been created in mind for organisations or individuals who work with/or interact with deaf people both in employment and everyday life to ensure that they are being inclusive and equal.

Our Deaf Awareness Workshops come as half day course (three hours) or a full day course (six hours), either on side or via Zoom. At the end of the session, all in attendance will receive an attendance certificate, we can also issue one for your company.

Our Deaf Awareness and Advocacy Liaison, Jagdeesh Sekhon,

loves to create workshops that make an lasting, positive impression on the audience.

If you are interested in a workshop, please get in touch with us for more information and costs.
